Team-Build Approach: A construction methodology with you at the center
We hate surprises, change orders, and cost overruns as much as you do. That’s why we use a team-build methodology on our projects whenever possible. Here’s how it works:
Step 1: Collaborative Planning
You want your project done faster and cheaper, so we get involved earlier. In the design stage, we collaborate with you and your architect to make a plan that will meet your vision and budgetary goals. You’ll get clear communication from day one. Everyone on your team will have a complete understanding of the best design possibilities and construction processes from the beginning.
Step 2: Supported Construction
Not only have our superintendents been with us for an average of 15 years – which means better on-site decision making – we’ve also created an administrative support structure for them that takes time-consuming, error prone tasks off of their plate, giving them more time for keeping your project on track throughout the construction phase.
Step 3: As-Promised Completion
Everyone promises on-time and on-budget results, but sometimes talk and action don’t match. Ask our customers about us and they’ll say, “We want them back!” Why? We delivered what they expected and built a solid relationship with them. That’s how we’ve been doing business for nearly 70 years.
Can we work in other construction approaches (design-build and design-bid-build)? Of course. However, we strongly recommend the team-build methodology when it can be applied and think it provides the best client experience and value out there.
